Kilcashel - Questions & Answers

Kilmovee, County Mayo, Ireland

How can I keep up to date with the Kilcashel Landscape Project's findings?

We are very keen for our work to reach as wide an audience as possible. We will be using Kilcashel.com to publish all our reports, as well as photographs, data images and text. We also have daily updates of our progress on the Earthsound Facebook page.

How is the Kilcashel Landscape Project funded?

The KLP is co-directed by James Bonsall and Heather Gimson of Earthsound Archaeological Geophysics, a County Mayo company that uses the latest non-intrusive technology to ‘see beneath the soil', searching for buried archaeological sites. The first season of work in 2009 was funded exclusively by Earthsound. The second season was again funded by Earthsound and supplemented by local community volunteers donating their time and a grant from the Heritage Council. James and Heather are ably assisted by volunteers who wish to engage with their local archaeology and countryside - anyone is welcome to join in! We can also raise money to fund future work through advertising on this website, so if you are interested in popping up an advert here for your product or service, then please contact us at the link below and you can help us continue our investigations.

How do I contact the Kilcashel Landscape Project?
